The NEW PARENT APP – easy access to important school information **** Available Now ****
We have a convenient new way to share information with you about your child’s school life. Soon you’ll be able to access our new parent app and website. You can access the system from a smartphone, tablet or PC – anytime, anywhere.
What will you find in the SIMS Parent app:
• Important information such as attendance, behaviour, and achievement in a much easier format.
• School term, inset dates and contact details available at the click of a button
• Access your child’s school report
• Receive notifications to remind you about important information such as key dates for your diary
• Access to update your contact details, so we always have the most up-to-date information in case of emergency
• If you have more than one child at school, you’ll have access to information for all your children, from the same app.
The information that you receive through the app will help you to stay up-to-date with your child’s school life as well as support your child’s development and progress.
Getting started with the SIMS Parent app
E-mail Mr Jobson at firstname.lastname@example.org to request your Parent App Code. Please confirm your child's full name and date of birth for verification (Please be aware we can only issue a code to an e-mail address that we already have on file. If you need to update your e-mail address please contact the school first).
We will send you an activation email, simply click on the link from your tablet, PC or smartphone to activate your account.
You can then login using your normal Facebook, Twitter, Google or Microsoft username and password.
From your smartphone or tablet, download the app from the Google Play or Apple App store - search for SIMS Parent.
From a PC or Windows phone, login online at www.sims-parent.co.uk
**** Please note that your activation email is unique to you and should not be used by anyone else. If you require an additional login then please contact your school.****
**** Your activation email will expire after 14 days if it is not used, please contact your school if you require a replacement after this date.****

Cheslyn Hay Learning Gateway
Cheslyn Hay Learning Gateway provides secure online access to real-time data about your child in school. This means accessible anytime, anywhere, information is available to you when you need it.
With Cheslyn Hay Learning Gateway, parents are better engaged with the school and students are encouraged to drive their own achievement but most importantly Cheslyn Hay Learning Gateway gives parents and students more opportunity to be more engaged with the learning process.
Parents also get access to achievement progress and attendance information along with a digital copy of their school report that parents can print.
Please complete the Parental Online Reporting/Sims Learning Gateway Access Request Form below and hand it in to the school reception or by post marked for the attention of Mr Jobson, ICT Development Manager.
Show My Homework
Show My Homework is an online tool to help you keep track of your child’s homework. Show My Homework will allow you to see the details of the tasks your child has been set, as well as their submission status and grades.
You will be provided with login details to your personal account, ready-linked to your child’s homework calendar.
Instructions on how to login and view your child’s homework are shown in the guide below and also a web link to a video tutorial. If you are concerned that you have not received your parent login please e-mail SMHW@cheslynhay-high.staffs.sch.uk and we will get another letter sent in the post.
