Supervisory Science Technician

Required from 1st September 2019

We are seeking to appoint a Supervisory Science Technician to lead and manage a small team of technicians who will be responsible, under the guidance of senior staff, to provide a technical support service to the science department.

Applicants will need to have:

•           Recent and relevant experience in a related discipline.

•           Supervisory experience.

•           HNVQ3 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (LATA)

Educational or NVQ3 Laboratory Technicians Working in Education or C&G Advanced Science Technician, or appropriate equivalent qualification or experience.

•           The ability to relate well to children and adults.

•           The ability to organise, lead and motivate other staff.

•           Good organisational, planning and prioritising skills.

•           Be committed to supporting the teaching and learning of our students

Hours: 37 hours per week. Term time plus 7 days during the school holidays

Salary: Grade 5 Pt 17 – 22 = £23,836pa - £26,317pa, pro rata
